Plankton IPO
In an industry full of young and eager teams, we decided we needed something different to get us noticed and remembered. To do this we created a brand for ourselves, but not in the usual self-titled album way. We went a step further and created Agency Plankton, the bottom-of-the-agency-food-chain interns.
As we grew and we set a goal, to the International Cannes Lions Advertising Awards and experience some of the world’s best advertising. To do this we needed some help. So instead of fundraising in the usual ways we floated the Plankton brand as a company - literally selling our creative futures in a global social experiment.
The Plankton IPO was a huge success and investors from around the world bought shares. Not only did we get to Cannes but we gained an investor list of advertising heavy-weights in the process and proved that even the smallest people in the industry can get somewhere by doing things differently.
