As a principle sponsor of the National Art School, Saatchi & Saatchi were given naming rights to their Graduation exhibition - An end of year event that showcases the works of all the graduation student. A popular exhibition among art fans and critics, NAS wanted to extend an invitation to people who wouldn't normally attend and exhibition.
Challenge:
How do you promote little-known artists and create hype about an event without showing the art.
Solution:
An Exhibition Curated By Twitter - A social experiment that let anyone be a critic by adding their reactions to the art via twitter.
How:
Every piece had its own unique hashtag and attendees were invited to tweet their reactions. On the final night of the exhibition, we rearranged the work to reflect the most popular pieces, based on reactions, creating a gallery experience that was curated by twitter.
